In the US, some people using iOS 4 (on iPhones and iPods according to Google) and Android 2.2 (Froyo) phones can start using 'Instant (beta)' by tapping 'Turn on' at the bottom of Google's mobile homepage. Oh yes, and you can switch it off as easily to. Just a tap.
Google also says that this new feature (of course) works best on 3G and Wi-Fi. They will be rolling out the feature to other countries very soon.
