...speaking in terms of revenue. Nokia still holds its highest number of handsets sold. But Apple is certainly making big bucks with the iPhone. Anyways, how long before Nokia will lose that position as well, considering Android's lead over Symbian?
For the first time ever, Apple overtook Nokia in handset revenue, in the first quarter of 2011. Apple made a revenue of $11.9 billion, while Nokia made $9.4 billion. But considering shipments, Nokia sold 108.5 million phones in Q1 of 2011, while Apple was at 18.6 million iPhones sold in the same period. You know, iPhones are expensive.
