Beginner Tip: Easy number input for the Kindle

Credit: e-Bookvine
Here's a mini-tip I want to share. It's by far one of the most useful Kindle tips I have encountered. The current-generation Kindle took the number keys off the keyboard. If you browse the web on your Kindle 3, you know how annoying it is to pull up the symbols menu every time you want to input numbers.

But there's an easy, no-pain way to do that too.
When inputting numbers, instead of pressing the 'Sym' key, simply press the 'Alt' key down and use the top row of the QWERTY keyboard to type in numbers.

Here's what I mean: Press the 'Alt' key, and the top row becomes the numbers row, with Q=1, W=2, E=3 and so on.

Happy reading!
